"Nada Soso" no tears start

Nobuhiro Doi's "Nada Soso", starring Satoshi Tsumabuki and Masami Nagasawa, debuted at the top of the chart last weekend, recording 390 mil. yen gross and 343,600 attendance.  That is 130% of the first weekend of 2004 big hit "Be With You" (4.8 bil. yen) by the same director, so Toho is expecting at least 3 billion, and maybe reaching to 5 billion at the end.  (HERE is another article about the film)

This film is only the second feature film by Doi, who has built his career as a TV drama director for TBS.  And as I reported previously, the major investor to this film TBS is on winning streak after "Memories of Matsuko" and "Sinking of Japan", over the low-flying Fuji TV with "UDON" and "Sugar and Spice" flops, since early summer.
