"A Long Walk" Grand Prix at Montreal
Eiji Okuda's "A Long Walk", a drama about an old man on a long walk with a little girl, starring Ken Ogata and Saki Takaoka, won the Grand Prix, Fipresci Prize from international film critics and the Ecumenical Prize in Motreal World Film Festival wrapped on Sep. 4. Grand Prix is shared by a Brazilian film "The Greatest Love of All".
Eiji Okuda is known as one of the top actors with a strong character, and has been directing the film as well recently. "The Long Walk" is his third feature-length film, after "An Adolescent" and "Runin: Banished", and is scheduled to be released in December 2006 in Japan.
