Interview clips of Sanada-san and other celebs from IWC event in Geneva last month is on their Website.
Unfortunately for non-Japanese speakers, he is talking in Japanese.
He is saying, "After this party, I will go back to L.A. and participate in 'Speed Racer' premiere there. I am playing a role called Mr. Musha, so please stay tuned."
So that means he will be SURE to show up on April. 26 premiere in Hollywood. YAY!!

I believe it is the same event as last year, but anyway, annie just informed me that she found Sanada-san's photo on WireImage, attending "The Crossing" gala by IWC Shaffhausen.
It looks like IWC hosts an event (maybe a stage play?) called "The Crossing" in Geneva, and Sanada-san attended its gala on April 8.

Our friends over in Japan, Hirorin and RinRin, just informed us that Sanada-san, after a long hideaway, appeared in "Global Green" pre-Oscar event in Hollywood on Feb. 20.

I wonder if he is around for any other Oscar-related events tomorrow. This year, Japan's Tadanobu Asano is schedule to attend the presentation event, for his main-role film "Mongol", which is nominated in the Foreign Language Film category. I have no idea whether they are friends or not, but anyway, it is nice to see a series of Japanese actors/actoresses have some presence in Oscars quite often, following up "The Last Samurai", "The Twilight Samurai", and last year's Rinko Kikuchi for "Babel".

It is already a few days old news, but annie has informed us of this article from Chinese website sina.com. (It is also introduced on RinRin's blog by Hirorin. Thanks, Hirorin!!) The article is about this Chinese actress who are also in "Speed Racer". According to annie, in this article, Sanada-san is homesick, and talks about his homeland a lot.
Well, at this time, I guess he had just flown back to Berlin from Japan after about two weeks of stay there. He did a lot of promotional event and press things for RH3 early on, but after the Japan premiere on Aug. 5, there was no public appearances (as far as I know), so I was wondering maybe he spent some time with his sons back there. Maybe that made him feel homesick even more, but if that is true, that means he had a good time back in Japan, and I am happy for that.
By the way, we are seeing LOTS of Chinese fans posting on SHIN lately, along with many other new fans from all over the world. I AM SO HAPPY to see such a lot of fans from SO MANY countries talking about him!!
こちらは、中国のファンannieさんからご紹介の中国サイトの記事です。日本でも、RinRinさまのブログでひろりんさまからご紹介のあったものです。これは、「Speed Racer」で共演している中国人の女優さんとお食事している写真だそうですが、真田さんはホームシックになっているそうで、日本のことをさかんにお話されていたそうです。８月１５日付けですので、このときにはもうベルリンに撮影に戻られていたのですね。
日本では、RH3のプレミアのあと、表には全く出られていませんでしたので、息子さんたちと短い夏休みを楽しまれていたのかな、と思っていました。だから、ますますホームシックになるのかもしれません。
それにしても、JamieのSHIN Forumには、最近中国のファンの方や、そのほか世界各地の新しいファンの方がたくさん書き込まれているので、すっごくうれしいです！真田さんのファンが、世界にどんどん増えています！

A Japanese fan spotted Sanada-san's glimpse in Access Hollywood video clip. It is a party by David and Victoria Beckham at the MOCA Museum in Los Angeles, and a whole bunch of celebrities including Tom Cruise & Katie Holms, Will Smith and others attended. At around 1:30 min. into the clip, Sanada-san chats with Tom as he arrives. He keeps his pony tail and beard, exactly the look of his "The Last Samurai" era - which probably is the look required for his "Musha" role in "Speed Racer" which is currently under way in Berlin.

RinRin also reported that there was a photo of Sanada-san and former world's number 4 tennis player Kimiko Date, attending a product announcement event (?) of a watch maker in Geneva, Switzerland. For some reason, it was on Chinese website. Annie or Emily, could you help us understand what is written here??
