I just got an info from our dear friend Izumi Hasegawa that there will be the premiere of "Speed Racer" in L.A. on April 26. Among cast members, of course, our Hiro is schedule to attend.
So after such a long time.... we probably can finally see him and hear from him in the event. I am pretty sure that Izumi will be able to get some words from him!!
Also, according to RinRin's blog, the team will also appear in Tokyo on June 29, at "the Super Premiere" event in Tokyo Dome, as the only stop over in Asia. Our friends over in Japan are so EXCITED, as Tokyo Dome - a ball park - holds 50,000 people, therefore many people can attend the event.
はせがわいずみさんからの連絡によりますと、4月26日にロサンゼルスで「Speed Racer」のプレミアが開催されるそうです。もちろん、出席者には真田さんのお名前もあります！どうやら、久しぶりに真田さんのお話が聞けそうです～！
また、RinRinさまのブログでご案内のとおり、東京でも6月29日に「スーパー・プレミアム」イベントだそうです。いよいよ、盛り上がってきましたね！！

According to RinRin's blog, Warner Bros. announced earlier this month that "Speed Racer" will have a special screening at Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on May 3rd, 2008 as the closing. Several of the cast members are schedule to appear at the event there. There will be another screening event at Pace University as well. Please see the press release below.

I believe it is the same event as last year, but anyway, annie just informed me that she found Sanada-san's photo on WireImage, attending "The Crossing" gala by IWC Shaffhausen.
It looks like IWC hosts an event (maybe a stage play?) called "The Crossing" in Geneva, and Sanada-san attended its gala on April 8.

みなさま、またお久しぶりです。上記、スイスでの高級腕時計メーカーのイベントに登場された場面です。他の出席者を見ると、ケビン・スペイシー、ジャン・リノ、アラニス・モリセットといった俳優・歌手のほか、やたらヨーロッパの往年のテニス選手が多いんですよね。ボリス・ベッカー、セドリック・ピオリーン、それにイリ・ナスターゼ・・・そういえば、欧州のテニス選手って、よく時計や香水の広告に出ています。そういった、彼の地の「大金持ち」向けのブランド・グループに、真田さんが常連というのは、すごいですよね・・・そういえば、菊池凛子さんもいらっしゃいます。

Hi, folks. Long time no see again.
Our friends over in Japan, Hirorin and RinRin, just informed us that Sanada-san, after a long hideaway, appeared in "Global Green" pre-Oscar event in Hollywood on Feb. 20.

I wonder if he is around for any other Oscar-related events tomorrow. This year, Japan's Tadanobu Asano is schedule to attend the presentation event, for his main-role film "Mongol", which is nominated in the Foreign Language Film category. I have no idea whether they are friends or not, but anyway, it is nice to see a series of Japanese actors/actoresses have some presence in Oscars quite often, following up "The Last Samurai", "The Twilight Samurai", and last year's Rinko Kikuchi for "Babel".
