My dear friend Izumi Hasegawa, who has written a lot of Sanada-san's interview article, is publishing a book in Japan. Her "Making of 24" covers extensive interviews to cast and staff, as well as lots of behind-the-scene episodes of the popular TV drama series "24 Twenty Four".

そろそろ、心臓バクバクは収まりましたでしょうか？？準備がよろしいようでしたら。。。
昨日公開しました、真田さんの「お返事」の中に、英語で"I'll keep on running"というのはどういう意味か？というご質問がいくつかあったので、レイコさんがエージェントのC様に聞いてくださいました。（Cさまさま、大明神・・・）・・・ところ、C様から、真田さんはこのように説明された、とお返事をくださいました。
「自分の選ぶ映画や仕事を通して、皆さんがハッピーでいられるように、がんばります」
そう、ようするに、われらがRinRinさまの想定問答集とまったく同じ、「仕事で返す！」ってことです！
真田さん、いつもありがとう！そして、Cさまさま、本当にありがとうございます！

It NEVER happened before. He is known for not responding to any fan letters since his younger days in Japan, so I was not expecting anything... BUT IT DID!!!

In addition to this blog photo album, I posted the pictures of Hiro birthday gift on Hiroyuki Sanada Enthusiast main site top page. With that addition, I did a little bit of editing of the top page, adding new Amazon Unbox widget feature etc., so you can see preview of Hiro movies that are available on Amazon Unbox. I changed color scheme as well, just because I wanted a bit different look.

OK, friends! I finally got an e-mail from Reiko, assuring that our birthday message package was safely delivered to Hiro's agent in Los Angeles!!
AND. The assistant to his manager told us that THE PACKAGE WILL BE PERSONALLY DELIVERED...
T-O-N-I-G-H-T!!!
YES!!!!
So, that means he is in L.A. today, maybe celebrating his birthday somewhere in town!! I wonder... maybe he is in a party with his close friends there... It would be great if Tom Cruise or Jackie Chan are there!! And what if they all look at our GREAT celebration messages...
Isn't it EXCITING!!!???
YEAH!!!! I will open a bottle of wine, so I can say "KANPAI" ALMOST together with him! hehehe.
Reiko also sent the beautiful pictures of the message book that she and her sister produced. It was tied with silk ribbon, put in a box and delivered with a gorgeous orchid arrangement. Please click the "Photo Album" on the right, to see all these NICE PICTURES!! You can see the top page with his picture, and some chinese characters "success", "happiness", "honor", "prosperity" and "respect" are used as break pages every 5-6 pages.
All these BEAUTIFUL packaging and flower arrangement were done by reiko's sister. Thank you, Thank you!!!

待ちかねていたレイコさんからのメールが来ました。皆様からいただいたメッセージは、ロスにある真田さんのエージェント事務所に届けられ、マネージャーのアシスタントの方に手渡されました。
その方は、「今夜、真田さんに手渡します。」といってくださったそうです！！！
やったー！
ということは、今夜は真田さん、ロスにおられるのですねーーー！どこかで親しい方々と祝宴をはっておられるのかなー？？！！
いただいたメッセージは、上質の紙に印刷してシルクのリボンで綴じ、茶色の箱に入れてリボンをかけました。右上の「photo album」の写真サムネイルをクリックしてください。パッケージの写真がアップロードしてあります。写真に見える「幸」などの５つの漢字の紙は、５－６ページごとに挿入されています。これと、写真にある蘭の鉢植えを一緒にお渡ししたそうです。これらの製本、パッケージ、お花のアレンジなどは、すべてレイコさんの妹さんがやってくださいました！！すばらしい！！！ありがとうございます！！
今、カリフォルニア時間の午後７時５０分ですが、さぁて、祝宴は何時からかな？？？もう真田さんはこのプレゼントを受け取られたでしょうか？？？ワクワクします！！祝宴には、誰が来るのかな？トム・クルーズとかジャッキー・チェンとかがおしのびで来てたらすごいですよね～！！！で、みんなで私たちの書いたメッセージの本を覗き込んでたりして・・・表紙を開いたところに、メッセージを寄せてくださった２０カ国のリストを書いたので、それを見て「わお！」とかみんなで言ったりして・・・
わーい！！（妄想が止まりません・・・）
さて、きっと南のほうでは祝宴がそろそろ始まるでしょうから、私も我が家でワインでも抜いてお祝いをいたします！

Today is finally Oct. 12, and it is...
Hiro's Birthday!
Happy 47th Birthday, Sanada-san!!
Again, thanks for all your messages!! I was VERY VERY excited to hear from such a lot of people from lot of countries, and cannot imagine Hiro wouldn't be either. All your messages are now printed out at our Los Angeles factory in unknown location, and are supposed to be HAND-delivered to Hiro's management office by Reiko's staff.
Please don't expect to hear anything from Hiro, as he is NOTORIOUS for not giving any response to fans' action throughout his long career. But at least, we are trying our best that the booklet will be delivered to Hiro for sure!!
Addition: Here is AKIRA's hilarious birthday cartoon. In the third box, AKIRA shouts "AYATAKA goes well with cake! I love SANADA-SAN!" and in the last box, the moomin (=her husband and work partner) mumbles... "you look busy, miss, but could you do your work?" and she replies, "Huh? Are you gealous? That's cute. Get over it, Oct. 12 comes around only once a year!"

改めて、たくさんのお祝いメッセージをお寄せいただき、ありがとうございました！私自身は、こんなにたくさんの国のたくさんの方からメッセージをいただいたことはオドロキかつ嬉しかったので、真田さんにもきっと喜んでいただけると思っています。
今現在、メッセージはロサンゼルス某所でプリントアウト・製本の最中で、今日中にレイコさんの関係者の方が、エージェントに届けることになっています。
ご存知のとおり、真田さんはファンにお返事をくださらないことで悪名高いので、お返事はどうか期待しないでください。でも、こちらカリフォルニア支部では、確実にお手元に届けるべく、がんばっております！

THANK YOU so much for so many people participated in Hiro's birthday message project!
As of 10:15pm Oct. 9, California time, I have received 86 messages in total from 20 different countries! There will be a few more added from the admin team, so the total will be 89. It is trully amazing to see so many people from so many different countries all get together and celebrate! And it is equaly amazing that Hiro has inspired SO many people in SO many different situation in SO many ways. Chinese fans from "The Promise", Japanese fans for 26 years, British fans from "SUNSHINE", American fans from "RH3".... some are ill, some have life tragedy, some have going through changes, and all got encouraged and inspired by Hiro's acting. It is REALLY, REALLY amazing to be a part of such amazing community!
Thanks for all the fans who sent the messages!! We will make sure it will be deliverd to him.
